Born in Durham and based in London, Jason is a music graduate of Royal Holloway where he achieved a First-Class Honours degree and started the octet ‘Voce Nova’.
Jason first studied piano with Barry Maleham, followed by Antonietta Notariello and Eleanor Hodgkinson. He studied voice with Jennifer Lilleystone as a treble, and later as a bass, with Stuart MacIntyre. Jason has enjoyed various roles as a choral scholar following his time as a chorister at the Chapel Royal, St. James’s Palace, where his love for singing began.
In 2022/23, Jason became a Fellow of The National Youth Choirs (NYC), participating in a programme for emerging choral leaders, performers, and educators. Later that year, Jason became a conducting scholar with Sing for Pleaure (SfP), a fully funded training programme for young choral conductors.
He is currently the Head of Music at a London Secondary School, Musical Director of the Landmark Singers and Lantern Youth Choir, alongside work as a section coach for National Youth Choir, piano teacher, session singer and accompanist. As well as his musical pursuits, Jason is a football coach for AFC Wimbledon Foundation (AFCWF).
